Who are we?

ethix is a 10-person digital marketing agency based in Camden. We think digital marketing is best when it's connected with a purpose, so we only work with purpose-led organisations. These are typically charities, impact organisations, sustainable brands, or arts & cultural institutions. Whatever the cause, we help clients do good, better.

What does being a Data Pipeline & Systems Manager at ethix look like?

You'll own the agency's data pipeline end to end: pulling data from ad platforms and other sources via Adverity, transforming it, and delivering it into client-facing dashboards in Data Studio. Alongside this, you'll own ethix OS - our internal system of tools, Claude skills, and workflows that the wider team relies on day to day. It suits someone who's methodical, comfortable diagnosing why a number looks wrong, and happy owning a system end-to-end rather than just executing tickets.

Who are you?

Essential skills & experience:

  • 2+ years' experience working hands on with SQL and a BI tool (e.g. Data Studio, Tableau, Power BI) in a data, analytics, or marketing operations role
  • Experience with a data integration/ETL tool (Adverity experience ideal, but Supermetrics, Funnel, or Fivetran experience is transferable)
  • Experience building and maintaining dashboards in Data Studio (or a similar BI tool)
  • Confident with data analysis & handling large data sets
  • A methodical, problem-solving mindset - comfortable tracing an issue back through several layers of a pipeline
  • Clear communicator, able to explain technical issues to non-technical colleagues and clients
  • Comfortable owning and maintaining internal systems or tools, not just building them once and moving on

Bonus skills & experience:

  • Experience with Python for data transformations
  • Experience with Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, or similar for lightweight pipeline automation
  • Comfortable with git/GitHub for version control
  • Familiarity with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) and an interest in AI-architecting - building and maintaining AI skills, workflows, and internal tooling
  • Interest or experience in the charity/social enterprise/non-profit sector

The ideal candidate is:

  • Someone who's kind, proactive and willing to get stuck in
  • Methodical, detail-orientated and an excellent problem-solver
  • Comfortable working independently as the owner of a system that others depend on
  • A clear communicator, able to translate technical detail for a non-technical audience
  • Someone who enjoys collaboration and is always looking for new ways to challenge themselves and grow

Bonus: you have a passion for social / environmental impact

What's in it for you?

  • You'll work with a tight-knit & supportive team with significant growth opportunities (you'll get to work closely with the founders of the agency)
  • The chance to use your skills for good by working with purpose-led organisations & charities
  • 50% wellness subscription subsidy (e.g. gym, mindfulness app) up to £30 a month
  • 25 days holiday + 5 volunteering days per year
  • An extra day of holiday for each year you've been at the company (up to 35)
  • Monthly team socials (e.g. ping pong, theatre, murder mystery)
  • Option of an unpaid sabbatical after 2 & 4 years at the company (1 month off after 2 years, 3 months off after 4 years)
  • Up to £250 per year in training budgets for every employee
  • We donate 5% of profits to charity

Accommodations

We are committed to providing an equal opportunity to all applicants and employees regardless of age, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, disability, race, religion or beliefs. If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation during the application process, please let us know.
