An opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and enthusiastic operator, with strong initiative, to take on an important role within our growing business, executing daily operations both on the home farm and neighbouring contract farmed ground.
This full-time position involves operating well-maintained, modern machinery to the highest standards. Duties will include:
- Primary cultivations
- Forklift driving
- Potato planting and harvesting operations
Mechanical skills are essential. The role may also extend to drilling, spraying and shifts driving the combine for the right candidate.
The successful candidate must have arable and potato experience. Tidiness and attention to detail is paramount, as is taking pride in the job and the ability to work flexible hours during peak periods. Workshop experience is crucial to keep our machinery fleet in top condition during the off season.
You will need:
- PA1 & PA2 spraying certificates
- Experience with GPS technology
- Forklift certificate
- Full UK driving licence
- Good record-keeping and organisational skills
Full training will be provided where new skills are required and future progression is encouraged.
