We are looking for an experienced Tandoor Chef for a fine dining, Michelin standard, Indian restaurant in London.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present a wide range of tandoor dishes including breads, kebabs, grills, and marinades to high quality and consistency.
- Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely and efficiently.
- Develop and standardise recipes, marinades, and portion control.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to menu specifications, taste, and presentation standards.
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff and commis chefs in tandoor section.
- Assist in menu planning and new dish development.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and wastage control.
- Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Coordinate with Sous Chef and Executive Chef for daily kitchen operations.
- Manage stock levels, requisitions, and proper storage of ingredients.
- Ensure timely service during peak hours and special events.
