We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry CDP to join our Client's 4* luxurious Hotel in Coventry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of pastry dishes in accordance with the Hotels standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with managing the pastry section of the kitchen and liaising with the Pastry Head Chef to ensure a successful working environment.
- Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment.
- Creating pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following a set recipe.
- Assist with developing new recipes for seasonal menus.
- Decorating pastries and desserts to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation.
- Monitoring and ordering the stock.
- Ensuring the pastry section adheres to safety and health regulations.
- Training junior staff members.
Skills:
- Experience in fine dining establishments.
- Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or relevant field would be preferred.
- Good knowledge of different types of pastries, desserts, cake decorating.
- Great attention to detail and creativity.
- In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, nutrition and allergens.
