We are looking for an experienced Tandoor and Grill Chef for a fine dining Indian restaurant in Surrey.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present a wide range of tandoor dishes including breads, kebabs, grills, and marinades to high quality and consistency.
  • Operate and maintain both the grill and the tandoor oven safely and efficiently.
  • Develop and standardise recipes, marinades, and portion control.
  • Ensure all food is prepared according to menu specifications, taste, and presentation standards.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff and commis chefs in tandoor section.
  • Assist in menu planning and new dish development.
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and wastage control.
  • Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
  • Coordinate with Sous Chef and Executive Chef for daily kitchen operations.
  • Manage stock levels, requisitions, and proper storage of ingredients.
  • Ensure timely service during peak hours and special events.
