This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled chef with a genuine passion for dim sum, traditional Chinese cuisine and the art of handcrafted dishes. Youll play a key role in delivering an outstanding dining experience, combining authentic techniques with consistency, quality and beautifully presented food.
The Role Prepare and produce a variety of authentic dim sum, including dumplings, buns, dumplings, bao and other traditional specialities.
Demonstrate excellent skills in dough preparation, filling creation, folding, shaping and steaming techniques.
Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, flavour, presentation and consistency.
Work confidently in a fast-paced kitchen, ensuring efficient service during busy periods.
Develop new dishes and contribute creative ideas to menus and seasonal specials.
Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety standards.
Manage stock, minimise waste and ensure ingredients are prepared to the highest standard.
Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
About You Proven experience as a Dim Sum Chef or in a specialist Chinese kitchen.
Strong knowledge of traditional dim sum techniques and ingredients.
Excellent attention to detail, with pride in craftsmanship and presentation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining consistently high standards.
A team-focused attitude, strong work ethic and passion for great food.
A commitment to cleanliness, organisation and kitchen excellence.
