The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.

As the SCADA design manager, you will be the technical authority for SCADA design at Ethical Power and shall be able to solve any issues/queries related to SCADA design. To deliver the projects you will rely on the SCADA engineer/sub-contractors. You will ensure the success of the project from a SCADA design perspective, from the tendering stage to pre-construction, design and post-construction/commissioning. You will be responsible for developing the required processes and procedures, maintain a standard RTU design and lead the SCADA design team to meet the business needs.

Design:

  • Acting as approving technical authority in the production of:
  • SCADA Communication design
  • Bill of Materials
  • Configuration of all communication equipment.
  • Collaborate with the P&C team with IED configuration – Comms element.
  • Support on site SCADA/Communication Design issues.
  • Development of standard RTU/HMI design including signal list.
  • Lead internal and external technical meetings related to SCADA/communication design.
  • Support Cyber Security.
  • Resolve any designs issues/queries that arise on site.
  • Sign-off of the relevant sections of the ERs, appendices and schedules of all new contracts.
  • Support SCADA design duties if/when required.
  • Mentoring members inside and outside of your team to help the business needs.
  • Approval of the deliverables produced by subcontractors.
  • Approving the design risk assessment during the lifecycle of the project.
  • Approve the procurement of key items.
  • What are we looking for?

    • Minimum 10 years of experience in SCADA design.
    • EHV substation project design experience up to 132kV.
    • AutoCAD.
    • Excellent knowledge of all published guidelines, ENA standards, policies and procedures, from national and international standards to DNO and EP policies, to ensure satisfactory delivery of work.
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
    • A sound knowledge of engineering design principles.
    • An understanding of construction methods.
    • A clean driving licence and flexible approach to working hours.
