Role Overview

The P&C Engineer will be working on electrical projects on behalf of the Company that will involve projects up to 132kV, working as part of a team to complete the P&C requirements of the packages. You will also be required to assist in the conceptual design of various types of energy projects, principally Solar Farms and Battery Energy Storage System facilities. You will be required to adhere to all safety regulations, quality standards and project specifications.

What will you be doing?

  • Development of conceptual/Conceptual/detailed Interlocking schemes up to 132kV
  • Development of Bill of Materials
  • Technical calculations and analysis to ensure the reliability and performance of protection and control systems.
  • Development of IED and AVC configuration files.
  • Support Panel Manufacturers queries
  • Support on site P&C issues – Red/Green markup drawings
  • Attend FAT’s as required.
  • Review Vendor drawings
  • Review Secondary Design drawings
  • Review power system studies.
  • Development of standard designs/configuration files for 33/66/132kV systems
  • Mentoring members inside and outside of your team to help the business needs.
  • Providing design sub-contractors with the information required.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in Protection & Control
  • EHV substation project design experience up to 132kv
  • AutoCAD
  • Excellent knowledge of all published guidelines, ENA standards, policies and procedures, from national and international standards to DNO and EP policies, to ensure satisfactory delivery of work
  • Experience with MICOM S1 Agile, PCM600 and Digsi 5 software
  • A sound knowledge of engineering design principles.
  • An understanding of construction methods.
