We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Construction Director to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of electrical connections for our clients, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. This is a leadership role that requires a strategic approach to both the operational and financial aspects of construction, while prioritising ethical practices in every decision.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead and manage the ICP construction team, ensuring effective delivery of projects on time, within budget, and in line with quality standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies for the successful delivery of electrical connection projects from design to completion.
  • Ensure that all construction work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including project managers, engineers, and procurement, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage project budgets and resources, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that all construction processes are efficient, ethical, and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of reports and documentation for regulatory compliance and project tracking.
  • Contribute to business development by providing technical expertise and supporting bids for new projects.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, promoting a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

  • Extensive experience in electrical connection projects, including planning, design, and execution.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and drive performance.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with experience working with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems effectively.
  • Commitment to ethical practices and sustainability within the construction industry.
  • A degree or professional qualification in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
