Role Overview

We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Monitoring Operator to join our Control Room team, ensuring optimal performance of our clients’ solar farms. In this pivotal role, you’ll monitor live data, identify and respond to faults or outages, and coordinate with on-site teams to maintain high asset availability and operational excellence.

You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment where every day brings new challenges. This position follows a fixed rota that includes Saturday, Sunday and Monday Day shifts 6am-6pm, making it ideal for someone who enjoys multitasking, problem-solving, and contributing to the growth of renewable energy.

What will you be doing?

  • Monitor a portfolio of solar sites in real time to identify, log, and elevate performance issues or faults.
  • Create and manage work orders, ensuring incidents are accurately documented and communicated to relevant teams.
  • Provide regular updates on outages, site events, and engineering activities to maintain clear communication across departments.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients to arrange site access and share progress updates on ongoing works.
  • Oversee site security systems, responding promptly to alarms or irregular activity as required.
  • Handle incoming calls and support general administrative and reporting tasks within the Control Room.

  • Confident in analysing performance data, identifying trends, and drawing actionable insights.
  • Good level of IT proficiency, ideally with experience using monitoring, reporting, or SCADA systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, engineers, and clients.
