Once you have had a comprehensive induction period, shadowing both reactive and planned teams, you will become part of a maintenance team that provides vital support to the company's production/manufacturing. This is an excellent time to join the business and this role will give the opportunity of prospects, additional pay increases and a long-term future.
Job role / duties:
- Ensure safe working practices are used at all times
- Provide engineering breakdown support for the shift production teams ensuring operational downtime is kept to a minimum
- Use root cause analysis tools to support one-time fix solutions for repeat failures
- Identify cost saving opportunities through energy, maintenance & material streams
- Ensure maintenance paperwork is kept up to date for all site works
- Support in developing preventative maintenance programs and improvements to support asset reliability
- Reactive maintenance/breakdown on both electrical & mechanical machinery
- Fault finding on Mitsubishi PLCs
- Some working at height (up to 15 metres)
- Some fabrication/welding
- Support preventative maintenance initiatives
To be considered you MUST:
- Have experience of maintenance engineering within an environment of high-speed production equipment
- Hold a formal engineering qualification at level 3 or above in either an electrical or mechanical discipline
- Be a current or previous licence holder for MEWP/FLT
- Ideally possess PLC experience in fault diagnosis/programming
- Have a broad spectrum of maintenance ability
