Senior Team Leader
Region: Stoke-on-Trent ( ST1 )
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of yard workers, ensuring efficient workflow and high productivity
- Operations Oversight: Oversee daily operations, including loading/unloading timber, stock management, and maintaining yard cleanliness
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and ensure accurate record-keeping
- Customer Service: Coordinate with customers and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues
- Training and Development: Provide training and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on yard operations, inventory status, and team performance
Salary
ÂŁ17.96 per hour (ÂŁ36,500 per annum). All overtime X1.66
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday – Rotating
- Week 1: 06:00 to 14:00
- Week 2: 14:00 to 22:00

- Previous experience in a similar role within a timber yard or related industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems and other relevant software
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions
