Semi – Skilled Joiners We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Semi-Skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have basic woodworking skills and experience in joinery. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills and advance your career in joinery. A good DIY enthusiast or someone with basic joinery skills. Temp to perm positions. Pay Rate: £13.32 p/hour Overtime paid after 39hrs at £19.98 p/hour up to £26.64 p/hour. Shift: Mon – Thurs: 07:30 – 16:30 Fridays: 07:30 – 12:30 Key Responsibilities: Assist in the measurement, cutting, and shaping of wood and other materials. Help in the assembly and installation of wooden structures, including doors, windows, cabinets, and frameworks. Perform minor repairs and maintenance on wooden fixtures and structures. Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently. Follow detailed technical drawings and plans. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and meets project specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies. Qualifications: Previous experience in joinery or carpentry, ideally 1 year. Basic knowledge of woodworking techniques and tools. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Strong attention to detail and precision in work. Good physical condition and stamina, as the role may involve lifting and working in various positions. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a team. Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials. Preferred Qualifications: Vocational training or certification in carpentry or a related field. Familiarity with various types of wood and their uses. Experience with both hand and power tools. Work Environment: Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in various weather conditions. May involve standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
