An automotive component manufacturer with sites worldwide requires an MES Engineer to be part of the plant's technical team for the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) function new project launches and all the current production processes across multiple automotive plants in the UK. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and knowledge of PLC programming and fault finding.
Commutable from: Coventry, Birmingham, Solihull, Redditch, Sutton Coldfield, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford Upon Avon
Rate: £21.33 per hour + 21% Shift allowance (approx. remuneration: £52,700 p.a.)
Shift Pattern: 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm - 6am
The Role:
- Reporting into the Engineering Manager you will have the following duties:
- Fault find using Sorion scripts.
- Conduct maintenance of updated Sorion scripts and backups.
- Assist support functions for problem resolution on PLCs.
- Log onto Kepware server to fault find.
The Person:
- Educated to City & Guilds level or higher you will have the following experience:
- Hold significant experience in an automotive and engineering environment.
- Have the ability to do the following:
- Create Sorion working sets for development.
- Implement Sorion working set through a CR (Change request).
You will have an understanding of:
- Error messages for fault finding of robotics.
- Effect of change to vision system.
- Setting of: colour sensors, part presence sensors, fixed barcode and RFID readers and EOL camera systems.
- Changes to PTL (Pick to light) within Sorion.
- How Kepware works with Sorion.
You will have a clear understanding and be able to apply PFMEA logic to identify and manage risk.
