Role Purpose: The Logistics Manager provides strong leadership and direction to supply chain teams across transport and despatch operations. The role ensures products are safely assembled, accurately dispatched, and delivered to customers on time and in full. Responsible for driving continuous improvement across operational performance, leading change, and developing individuals and shift teams to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health & Safety: Promote and maintain a Safety First culture at all times. Support and contribute to risk assessments within departments. Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards, Safe Systems of Work, and current legislation. Ensure all team members understand and adhere to safety policies.
- People Leadership: Set clear performance goals and targets for team members. Ensure shifts are fully staffed, trained, briefed, monitored, and motivated. Manage absence, investigations, and disciplinary matters in partnership with HR, unions, and management. Recruit, train, and develop team members in line with company values.
- Operational & Quality Management: Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance System (QAS) standards. Ensure dispatched goods meet customer expectations, including code control. Ensure vehicles are correctly documented, loaded, and secured.
