HGV C+E – Shunter Driver (Turberg)

Location: Stoke-on-Trent (ST3)

Temporary to Permanent Vacancy

Key role and responsibilities for our clients HGV C+E – Shunter Driver:

• Driving a Turberg Shunter
• Operate a HGV C+E – Shunter Driver safely to move, and collect HGV trailers
• Safely manoeuvre and position trailers around the site
• Support the loading and unloading process as required
• Complete necessary paperwork and yard checks accurately
• Communicate clearly with warehouse, transport, and yard teams
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Follow all site safety rules and ensure safe working practices at all times

Minimum requirements for this vacancy:

• Valid HGV Class C+E (CE) licence
• Good awareness of vehicle safety and site procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic communication and record-keeping skills
• Shunting experience is preferred but not essential (training can be provided)
• Subject to an HGV C+E driving assessment to be carried out prior to start

Salary: £DOE per hour PAYE, paid weekly
Statutory Deductions for TAX, NI and Pension if not opted out apply

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday: between 07:00 & 19:00
