Job role / duties:
- Rearrange transport plans when required due to driver sickness, delays, route changes, or operational issues.
- Communicate clearly with drivers, the warehouse team, and other internal departments to keep the operation moving efficiently.
- Support route planning decisions on the day and make quick adjustments where needed.
- Use SAP to support transport and warehouse processes, including ensuring pallets received by the warehouse are scanned correctly.
- Monitor planned driver routes and respond to driver phone calls professionally and confidently.
To be considered for this role you MUST:
- Have previous transport coordination, planning or logistics experience.
- Possess good geographical knowledge of UK postcodes.
- Have an understanding of drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive requirements.
- Be able to use SAP and MS Office.
- Have excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Be calm and able to make decisions quickly under pressure.
- Be reliable, proactive, and comfortable working alone during early morning hours.
