An automotive component manufacturer with sites across the world require an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to project manage complex projects right from the initial process and equipment concept into quotation and launch phases. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in first tier automotive in a just in time environment. Commutable from: Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull, Redditch, Stratford Upon Avon, Shirley, Warwick, Leamington Spa Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 p.a. Suitable for: Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager The Role Reporting into the Engineering Manager, you will have the following duties: -Work with AME team to create, develop and test new processes and equipment. -Manage multiple suppliers of tooling and capital ensuring timing and cost targets are met. -Sign off new equipment including the management of run rates and capability studies both in plant and at toolmaker. The Person Educated to a minimum of HNC level or holding considerable experience in a relevant role in first tier automotive you will have the following experience: -Knowledge of AIAG & VDA 7 step structure for PFMEAs. -Experience in a fast pace just in time or just in sequence environment. -Exposure to manufacturing lines highly reliant on IT software. -Experience of Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing processes. -Experience in AutoCAD is advantageous.
