Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Stores Assistant to join our busy manufacturing environment in the Stoke on Trent area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, supporting the smooth flow of materials and parts within the stores.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate external counterbalance forklift with an in-date licence
- Lifting, stacking, and organizing materials and parts efficiently
- Picking and preparing parts for production as required
- General stores duties including stock management, inventory checks, and ensuring cleanliness of the stores area
- Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure materials are available as needed
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements and report any discrepancies
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a busy manufacturing stores environment
- Valid, in-date external counterbalance forklift licence (essential)
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Reliability and commitment to working Monday to Friday during daytime hours
