Role Overview
Pack and prepare products according to specifications and customer orders, ensuring quality standards, safety requirements, and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure correct quantities, weights, and labelling of products
- Verify batch numbers, expiry dates, and product codes
- Conduct visual quality checks to ensure packaging standards are met
- Follow SOPs and quality management procedures for all packing activities
- Maintain accurate packing records and batch documentation
- Support ISO audit activities and maintain compliance with quality standards
- Maintain safe working practices and report safety hazards immediately
- Keep work area clean, tidy, and hazard-free
- Follow proper spill and emergency procedures
- Follow environmental procedures and support ISO 14001 compliance in the packing area
- Move packed products to storage or dispatch areas
- Stack and store products safely
- Operate forklifts or pallet trucks (if certified)
- Assist with changeovers, cleaning, and sanitizing equipment
- Support stock takes and inventory checks
- Complete end-of-shift cleaning and housekeeping
- Record production output and wastage, and report deviations to supervisor
- Maintain traceability documentation
