Role Summary: We are seeking a professional and safety-focused Class 2 LGV Driver to support our operations through the delivery and collection of engineering equipment to customer sites. This role is critical in ensuring goods are transported safely, securely, and on time, while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
Key duties:
- Delivery of equipment safely and securely
- Customer service and satisfaction
- Vehicle safety checks, secure loading/unloading, and compliance with all legal and company regulations
- Adhering to driver hours and road regulations at all times
- Work cooperatively with colleagues, supervisors, and the client team to support safe and efficient operations
Pay: £15.50 per hour with overtime paid at time and a half after 8 hours. 13 week temp to perm. Any lawful deductions will be explained clearly before engagement. Statutory deductions such as Tax, National Insurance, and pension contributions (where applicable) will apply.
Full details of the role, assignment, pay, and any applicable terms will be provided before you agree to proceed. Where required, a Key Information Document will be issued before engagement.
Working pattern:
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Flexible with start times ranging from 5am to 7am
- Breaks / overtime / shift flexibility: In line with drivers' hours and WTD
Candidate requirements:
- LGV (HGV) Class two licence
- Current Digital Tachograph & Current Driver CPC card

After a successful 13 week temp to perm period, my client offers a standard salary, overtime, and bonus scheme.
Travel / Access: Located just outside Burton on Trent, this position is commutable from Burton on Trent, Swadlincote, Lichfield, Tamworth, Derby.
