Ethelbert Children’s Services are looking for a caring and motivated Registered Home Manager who can lead a team of Residential Workers to achieve the best outcomes for the young people within our care at our three bedded children\’s homes, located in Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations of the children\’s home.
- Deliver high‑standard care to children, ensuring a warm, nurturing and rich childhood experience.
- Provide regular supervision to staff and support them with training plans.
- Coordinate with Personnel, Finance, Administration, Training and Maintenance Departments to free staff time to focus on child care.
- Ensure the home meets all regulatory and OFSTED inspection requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People (or willingness to complete within 2 years).
- At least two years experience relevant to residential care within the last five years.
- At least one year experience supervising and managing professional staff.
- Excellent knowledge of supporting children who are looked after.
- Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and OFSTED inspection process.
- Strong motivation and leadership skills.
