Senior Environmental Advisor – Civil Engineering\\nTier One Civil Engineering Contractor\\nBirmingham\\nAre you an experienced Environmental Advisor looking to develop your career on a high profile Civil Engineering project? Then a role with this market leading Contractor could be for you.\\nMy client is a multi billion Civil Engineering Contractor delivering an iconic Civil Engineering project across the West Midlands. They are looking to hire an Environmental Advisor with heavy Civils experience to join them.\\nReporting to the Environmental Manager, as Senior Environmental Advisor your duties and responsibilities will include;\\n• Providing a clear line of communication between the Environmental Manager and delivery project managers on site.\\n• Support with on-site environmental compliance.\\n• Promoting environmental objectives and best practice.\\n• Share knowledge across sites.\\n• Ensure compliance of works.\\n• Communicating with delivery teams and their subcontractors on environmental matters; including but not limited to ecology, water management, waste management, heritage, noise and vibration and air quality.\\n• Development of EMS documentation and systems.\\n• Development of environmental works solutions / mitigation and monitoring regimes.\\n• Roll out of systems to ensure construction methodologies and programme meet Environmental Minimum Requirements.\\n• Environmental Reporting.\\n• Management of Environmental Opportunities and Risks.\\n• Carry out audits supporting the EMS coordinator audit programme.\\n\\nThe following qualifications are essential:\\n• Degree in an environmental or scientific discipline\\n• A minimum 5 years’ experience as an Environmental Advisor\\n• Have deputised for a more senior role\\n• IEMA (or equivalent level of membership with a relevant professional body)\\n\\nIf this opportunity would be of interest to you, please contact Karen Trickett
