Regional Civil Engineering Contractor in Essex is seeking an experienced Project Manager to develop their career on Highway Schemes across London and the South.
My client is a growing Regional Civil Engineering Contractor delivering Schemes for multiple clients across the Highways Sector. They are looking to add a Project Manager to lead a scheme in Essex.
As Project Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Leading project teams to exceed expectations, ensuring high-quality, timely project delivery.
- Fostering strong engagement with stakeholders and local communities to create positive project outcomes.
- Ensuring strict compliance with industry standards, contracts, and governance processes.
- Driving financial performance through effective cost control, accurate forecasting, and profit accountability.
- Promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement across all levels of the team.
- Mentoring and developing team members, sharing best practices to enhance skills and project outcomes.
Knowledge / Education / Skills:
- Commercial awareness, and good level of programming and contract knowledge. Familiarity with NEC contracts, and an understanding of how project and package P&L impacts on corporate finances.
- Experience managing projects up to £30m.
- Degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field, professional certification in project management, or relevant experience.
- Significant experience in highways construction, specifically road building and drainage systems.
- Strong knowledge of NEC or ICE contract conditions and programme management.
