A leading construction and engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Project Manager with a strong civil engineering and construction background to join their team. Working within their residential development team, you will play a key role in delivering major strategic land and residential development projects from inception through to completion. You will lead the management and administration of infrastructure projects across RIBA Stages 1–6, ensuring delivery to programme, budget and quality expectations.

Role & Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager:

  • Build trusted relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and adopting authorities. Lead negotiations and coordinate multiple stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes. Act as the key point of contact throughout project delivery.
  • Define project scope, deliverables and success criteria. Manage programmes, risks, change control and project reporting. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
  • Administer NEC4 and industry-standard construction contracts. Support procurement activities and contract negotiations. Manage project costs, budgets, forecasting and billing.
  • Oversee civil infrastructure works, including highways, drainage and utilities. Manage remediation investigations and construction supervision activities. Coordinate multidisciplinary design and construction teams.
  • Implement quality management processes and project controls. Manage project information within a Common Data Environment (CDE). Ensure compliance with project governance, contractual and client requirements.

Skills & Experience of the Senior Project Manager:

  • A civil engineering background is essential
  • Practical knowledge of NEC4 and JCT contracts
  • Proven track record of delivering infrastructure projects
  • Ability to obtain SC clearance.
