Join us as a Trainee Transport Planner, based in Stirling for the Insulation division of Etex! This is a fast-paced role focused on ensuring customer deliveries are made on time and in full. You’ll optimise efficiency and cost through effective route planning and carrier selection while maximising load capacity. Success in this role means building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, taking ownership of unforeseen issues, and maintaining accurate administration.
What you’ll do:
- Provide first class customer service by proactively sharing relevant information, using effective means of communication.
- Convert customer orders to shipping orders.
- Assist with route planning by ensuring routes are planned efficiently and load availability is maximised.
- Collect and maintain data for targets and reporting.
- Work closely and build trusting relationships with internal departments.
- Communicate to hauliers our daily requirements and customer specific needs.
- Assist Customer Service & Transport with any ad-hoc tasks.
