The Quality Manager is responsible for the process reliability and quality assurance of the products produced at the plant. Furthermore, he/she leads the team members in technical terms and is responsible for further development. The level of decision making is high and the role involves cross-functional collaboration with other departments (e.g. production manager) - but no international responsibility involved. The ideal candidate will have high technical understanding of production process with strong people and project management skills. He/she will be an effective cross-functional collaborator with effective decision-making capacities and always aiming to continuously improve the process.
What you’ll do:
- Control and monitoring of all EHS-relevant tasks and topics in the laboratory area.
- Development and implementation of continuous improvement processes and measures.
- Prepare all the internal and external quality audits and manage the follow-up.
- Maintain ISO9001 and other certifications of quality.
- Making sure that 5S process is well implemented and respected and organize audit in accordance with the planning.
- Organizational and technical management of the laboratory at the site.
- Lead the team.
- Responsibility for ongoing quality control of the manufactured glass wool products.
- Creating monthly reports.
- Budget planning, investment planning and control.
- Coordination of measures with headquarters regarding new projects and initiatives.
- Communication via project and department meetings.
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years experience of Quality and Compliance management in a manufacturing facility, lead auditor accreditation, experience in BES 6001, BS 14001, BS9001 preferred.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written, ability to influence others, high degree of organisation.
