The successful candidate will be required to take the lead in reliability improvements / sustainability, undertake problem solving sessions, compile documentation and provide technical lead in day-to-day operations.
What you’ll do:
- You will report directly to the senior electrical engineer, and will be responsible for the reliability of electrical system for the BB/BLC/Mill areas.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that agreed reliability, AM/PM plans and strategies are effectively undertaken and delivered, liaising with Production, Quality, Operations and Contractors.
- You will support the maintenance planning team with all maintenance days ensuring best decisions are made regarding site critical Assets
- You will spend a significant portion of your role ensuring PM tasks are completed safely and closed out to a high standard, on time as well as being a significant contributor to the regular shutdowns within the BB/BLC/ Mill areas, alongside the Maintenance Team Engineer and the Maintenance Operations Manager.
- Outside of shutdowns and PM tasks you will investigate CBM and OTR findings further and work with the Senior Electrical Engineer to plan these tasks accordingly to optimise shutdown effectiveness.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience working with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, E-Maint)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and diagrams
- Hands‑on experience with PLC & VSD systems/equipment (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi)
- Previous experience within an FMCG maintenance department
- Involvement in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders across various departments
- Solid process knowledge
- Degree‑level qualification preferred (engineering, electrical, or a combination of mechanical and electrical) / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
