Reporting to the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the upkeep and general reliability of the equipment. You will ensure that agreed reliability, AM/PM plans and strategies are effectively undertaken and delivered; to achieve this, you will be liaising with Production, Quality, Operations and Contractors.
What you’ll do:
- Ensure preventative maintenance (PM) tasks are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.
- Play a key role in regular shutdowns, working closely with the Maintenance Team Engineer and Maintenance Operations Manager.
- Investigate Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) and On-The-Run (OTR) findings, and collaborate with the Senior Mechanical Engineer to plan and optimise shutdown activities.
- Take responsibility for the upkeep, performance, and general reliability of equipment.
- Ensure reliability strategies, preventative maintenance plans, and agreed engineering strategies are effectively implemented and maintained.
What you’ll bring:
- Working experience in a preventative maintenance role within a manufacturing environment
- Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt).
- AM/PM 7 Steps.
- Condition-Based Monitoring qualification/training.
- Qualifications
- HNC level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or membership of the appropriate professional institute.
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering.
- Degree-level qualification preferred (engineering, electrical, or a combination of mechanical and electrical) / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
