We are exclusively partnering with a global consultancy who are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to build a DevOps function from scratch. This is a rare opportunity to define the DevOps strategy, establish standards, and create the tooling, processes, and governance needed to support secure and scalable cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Previous experience in building a DevOps function from the ground up is essential.
- Set DevOps standards, policies, and governance.
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Power Platform, Fabric).
- Drive Infrastructure as Code and automation (Azure/Terraform/Bicep).
- Improve release, deployment, and environment management.
- Own monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response.
- Support secure access and identity (Entra ID).
- Work with engineering teams to take solutions into live production.
- Champion DevOps culture and continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience
- Experience building or leading a DevOps function is essential.
- Strong Azure experience (plus M365, Power Platform, Fabric).
- Hands-on CI/CD with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform or Bicep).
- Experience supporting production systems and incident management.
