Chief Financial Officer
London Bridge | Hybrid
Up to £150,000 + bonus + equity/options
We are recruiting a Chief Financial Officer for a PE-backed fast-growing technology business entering an exciting stage of its development.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be their key financial and commercial partner, with regular exposure to the Board and investors.
Experience within a VC/PE-backed company is key for this role and any experience with fundraising would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
You will shape the finance function, build the FP&A and forecasting capability and provide the commercial insight behind key growth decisions.
The Role
- Act as the CEO's key partner across financial, commercial and strategic matters.
- Own cash flow, capex, working capital and scenario planning.
- Own FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning.
- Provide commercial insight to support growth and investment decisions.
- Own cash flow, working capital and financial planning.
- Produce Board and investor reporting.
- Build and develop the finance team.
- Improve finance systems, processes and controls.
- Use modern data, AI and automation tools to create a lean, effective finance function.
Experience Needed
- Experience presenting to a board and/or an investor syndicate, not just to internal stakeholders.
- Building or scaling a finance team from a small base.
- Prior exposure to a VC/PE-backed scale-up, fundraising, or board reporting
- Strong commercial finance background.
- Excellent FP&A, modelling and forecasting skills.
- Hands-on and comfortable working in the detail.
- Comfortable using modern finance/data technology.
