Accounts Receivable
This is a fully office-based role in Buntingford SG9 you’ll need to be able to drive and commute to the office reliably.
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable professional for a well-established, forward-thinking business within a wider international group.
Responsibilities:
- Generating and issuing client invoices accurately and on time
- Monitoring and recording incoming payments
- Reconciling accounts receivable balances and resolving discrepancies
- Managing client queries relating to invoices, payments and credit terms
- Producing regular AR ageing and status reports
- Proactively following up overdue accounts and managing collections
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date receivables records
- Working closely with the wider Finance team to support smooth day-to-day operations
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting activities
- Building strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to improve AR processes and procedures
- Ensuring all activity complies with relevant financial regulations and company policies
Experience Needed
- Proven experience managing an AR ledger and chasing outstanding payments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
- Experience working across multiple countries, entities or international branches would be advantageous
- Good Excel and general systems skills
