Location: Mainly remote - odd day in London for workshops
Purpose: To lead, guide and advise on setting up comprehensive Monitoring implementation using Microsoft Purview, Azure/Fabric monitoring such as Capacity Metrics, Monitoring Hub, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Sentinel, Insight Manager, Fabric Unified Admin Monitoring within the context of Microsoft Fabric including Power BI.
Responsibilities:
- Design & Implementation: In the context of Microsoft Fabric/Azure monitoring and other monitoring tools, lead on the discovery, definition and implementation of Monitoring functionality, and Purview including but not limited to Data Catalogue, Monitoring, Lineage and Data Loss Prevention capabilities.
- Consultative Advice: Act as the technical lead, advising stakeholders on best practices for monitoring and compliance.
- Operational Support: Maintain documentation (LLDs, SOPs), create user guides, and train teams on using the tools.
Skills:
- Prior and deep knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Azure/Fabric monitoring such as Capacity Metrics, Monitoring Hub, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Sentinel, Insight Manager, Fabric Unified Admin Monitoring (FUAM), M365 security technologies, and data governance frameworks.
- Any knowledge of Advanced monitoring with Workspace monitoring will be beneficial.
- Hands-on experience with configuring and administering above tools.
- Strong knowledge of data security concepts - classification, sensitivity labels, DLP, etc.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications and/or Fabric certification such as DP700/DP600.
- Quick learner to apply new concepts.
- Ability to work in ambiguous situations.
- Ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
