The Global Logistics Process Excellence Team is seeking a Senior Inventory & Logistics Process consultant with strong ownership of finished goods inventory governance and the ability to drive end‑to‑end process excellence across the logistics network.
This role combines hands‑on inventory control accountability with process leadership, continuous improvement, and internal consulting across Logistics & Distribution.
The role acts as a senior subject‑matter expert for inventory, SAP‑enabled logistics processes, and transformation initiatives, partnering closely with Logistics Operations, Finance, Manufacturing, S&OP, and Digital Technology Services (DTS).
Own and safeguard end‑to‑end finished goods inventory accuracy, financial integrity, and compliance across EMEA logistics operations.
- Lead standardisation, optimisation, and continuous improvement of inventory and logistics processes and systems.
- Provide expert process consultancy, training, and project support for logistics, distribution, and supply chain initiatives.
- Inventory Governance & Control
- Own month‑end inventory control activities, reporting, reconciliations, and approvals, ensuring timely and accurate financial postings.
- Safeguard stock integrity, including blocked stock, obsolete inventory, disposals, adjustments versus targets, and pallet stock.
- Monitor inventory KPIs (book‑to‑physical accuracy, adjustment trends, blocked stock exposure) and drive corrective actions.
Execute and continuously improve standard inventory controls (e. g. adjustment reporting, blocked stock monitoring, threshold analysis).
- Ensure adherence to standardised inventory and logistics processes for audit, compliance, and financial control.
- Act as escalation point for inventory‑related operational and system issues across the EMEA network.
Apply LEAN and continuous improvement methodologies to standardise and optimise inventory and logistics processes at scale.
- Own or contribute to business requirements, testing, and integration for system enhancements and upgrades.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise for SAP inventory processes and their integration with wider supply chain systems.
- Training & Capability Building
- Develop, maintain, and deliver high‑quality process and system training materials.

- Uplift capability and consistency across logistics operations through coaching and structured knowledge transfer.
- Projects & Transformation
- Provide consultancy and subject‑matter expertise to strategic and operational projects.
- Lead or support projects as prioritised by process councils or leadership teams.
- Actively support SAP ERP landscape transformation initiatives (e. g. Aurora), including business readiness, testing, and change adoption.
Build strong, trusted relationships with Logistics Operations, Finance, Manufacturing, S&OP, and DTS.

- Month‑end inventory close delivered on time with zero critical errors.
- Inventory accuracy, blocked stock exposure, and obsolete stock cycle time within targets.

8+ years’ experience in inventory management, logistics, supply chain operations, or controlling (FMCG preferred).
- Deep end‑to‑end process knowledge and strong hands‑on experience with SAP inventory transactions and reporting.
- Strong analytical capability with advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Power Point).
- Demonstrated project management and change leadership skills.
- EMEA‑based; travel to sites may be required.
Education & Languages
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Fluent in English; additional European language(s) advantageous.
