Role Description:
The bank is seeking a highly experienced Storage SME to provide technical leadership and strategic guidance for storage architecture and operations within the OpenShift infrastructure migration project. This role will ensure that storage solutions are designed, implemented, and optimized to meet the bank's performance, scalability, and compliance requirements across multi-cloud, hybrid, or on-prem environments. Additionally, the SME will bring deep expertise in Pure Storage technologies to enable high-performance, reliable storage integration with containerized workloads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define storage architecture strategy for OpenShift clusters and workloads, incorporating Pure Storage best practices.
- Advise on storage provisioning, performance tuning, and capacity planning for Pure Storage arrays.
- Serve as the go-to expert for storage-related issues and escalations, including Pure Storage integration.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineers and OpenShift Architects to integrate Pure Storage solutions with compute and networking layers.
- Ensure compatibility with containerized workloads and persistent storage requirements.
- Conduct performance assessments and recommend improvements for Pure Storage systems.
- Implement high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery strategies leveraging Pure Storage capabilities.
- Ensure storage configurations align with the bankβs security and regulatory standards, including encryption and access controls.
- Maintain detailed documentation of storage architecture, policies, and operational procedures.
- Work closely with Automation Engineers to enable automated storage provisioning and scaling for Pure Storage arrays.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in enterprise storage technologies with a strong focus on Pure Storage arrays.
- Deep knowledge of storage protocols (iSCSI, NFS, Fibre Channel) and SAN/NAS architectures.
- Familiarity with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container storage interfaces (CSI).
- Expertise in backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies for Pure Storage environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and performance optimization skills for high-performance storage systems.
- Certifications in Pure Storage or other enterprise storage technologies preferred.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to guide technical teams and stakeholders.
