Pay-rate: £514 per day (PAYE through Umbrella)
Role Description:
Build the end-to-end AI helpdesk product across web UI, APIs, agent orchestration, and enterprise workflow automation.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and build user-facing applications for employees, support agents, and admins.
- Develop frontend, backend, and API layers for chat, ticket submission, status tracking, and escalation.
- Build LLM/agent workflows for repetitive IT helpdesk tasks such as password reset, account unlock, software access, and knowledge-based troubleshooting.
- Integrate with ticketing, identity, collaboration, and ITSM platforms.
- Implement prompt flows, guardrails, fallback logic, and human handoff.
- Own feature delivery from design through deployment.
Required skills:
- Strong full-stack engineering experience with modern frontend and backend frameworks.
- Experience with Python, Node.js, or Java.
- Experience building REST APIs, workflow services, and production web apps.
- Working knowledge of LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and agent/tool-calling patterns.
- Familiarity with authentication, RBAC, logging, and secure coding.
Preferred:
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk, Microsoft Teams, Slack, or telephony/chat integrations.
- Experience building internal enterprise support tools.
