Brief overview of the business areas

Global Cybersecurity is responsible for enabling businesses and functions to manage their information, technology and cybersecurity risks by ensuring these are well-understood, and that controls used to manage such events are defined, assessed and implemented appropriately.

What you will be doing

We are looking for a passionate, problem solving professional to help us empower and equip technical roles at our customer with the cybersecurity skills and awareness, relevant to their role, to increase the resilience of the bank.

This is an exciting opportunity to mature an established programme to test developers on secure development plus pilot different approaches to reach other technical roles and serve education and awareness on other elements of cybersecurity.

You will have space to be creative and work closely with a number of partners inside Cybersecurity as well as in our Group Technology office.

THE CUSTOMER is an organization with over 250,000 employees, of which 50,000 are in Technology and need to understand the importance of security across all technology platforms.

Using your subject matter expertise of cybersecurity (eg application security, Dev Sec Ops or Identity and Access Management) and excellent insight to the working practices and learning preferences of highly skilled and technical users, you will be transforming the customers current compliance-led technical training.

We want to ‘shift left’ our secure development process and foster a security mindset amongst technical roles.

Responsibilities

  • Mature the EDUC 2 control to include other technical audiences.
  • Work closely with user research, Cyber control owners (e. g., Data Security, Vulnerability Management, Identity and Access Management) and vulnerability/incident data analysis to inform the design and delivery of cybersecurity training to any technical audience.
  • Use data and insights to demonstrate the effectiveness/impact of the solutions you deliver.
  • Design proxy measures to demonstrate how training solutions support overall outcomes, measuring impact on engineering metrics such as reduced incidents, reduced time to remediate or reduction in recurring vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Cybersecurity Assessment and Testing (CSAT) function, Global Engineering, CTO Dev Ops Services to gather inputs, validate, and test the impact of proposed training and ultimately implement joined‑up solutions to target audiences.
  • Through a data‑driven approach, identify gaps/opportunities in security training tooling and design and deliver pilots to address these opportunities, including identifying and trialling third‑party vendors.
  • Provide communications and training support for initiatives that empower and enable technical roles to operate more efficiently and securely.
  • Key Skills and Experience
  • Strong relationship building and persuasion skills, with experience working with numerous partners to reach consensus and deliver solutions.
  • Strong technical subject matter background in application security, Dev Sec Ops, and/or identity and access management.
  • Experience moving from practitioner to delivering transformational enablement programmes to engineers (e. g., training and development, change management, internal engagement, culture change).
  • Design thinking: experience creating needs‑based solutions that are measurable and materially reduce risk.
  • Experience enabling initiatives for technologists at scale with proven results.
  • Ideally experience managing third‑party training vendors and platforms.
  • Excellent understanding of security concepts and principles.
  • Good understanding of security flaws in different programming languages.
  • Understanding of emerging technologies and their corresponding security threats is a plus.
