We are seeking a Delivery Sustainability - Packaging Expert in London, Paris to support the transition to more sustainable packaging for restaurants. The role involves:

  • Becoming a local expert on Uber Eats local sustainable packaging guidance and educating restaurants on their current packaging practices.
  • Converting restaurants into more sustainable packaging by utilizing existing levers & benefits, and ensuring packaging options meet restaurant needs.
  • Working closely with restaurant owners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to identify, recommend, and implement sustainable and fit-for-purpose packaging solutions that meet high reliability and environmental standards.
  • Validating any packaging changes meet Uber Eats’ local criteria, and ensuring that qualifying restaurants receive the relevant benefits.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with restaurant owners to assess their current packaging needs and practices and provide advice on sustainable packaging alternatives that meets Uber Eats’ local standards.
  • Develop a transition strategy for each restaurant, including recommendations for packaging changes.
  • Work with the local team on defining an incentive structure that works in the context of the commercial relationship with the restaurant.
  • Oversee and validate the transition to sustainable packaging.
  • Ensure newly sustainable restaurants qualify for sustainability benefits.
  • Prepare regular reports detailing merchant conversion progress for internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Need

  • At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in client-facing roles with commercial ownership.
  • Strong sales background, and a bias to action.
  • A passion for sustainability and having a positive impact on the environment.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and identify solutions for varying customer needs.
  • Strong client management skills, with the ability to manage multiple restaurant clients simultaneously.
  • Commercial proficiency: Having a great sense for spotting business opportunities and being able to transform them into results.
  • A positive spirit and energy that contributes to a great culture. A team player.

Nice to have:

  • Existing knowledge of sustainable packaging materials, waste management practices, and industry regulations.
