We are looking for a Full stack Developer with expertise in Oracle DB, Unix Shell scripting, message broker DevOps, and agile methodologies. Working with enterprise application suites to create an orchestration layer to seamlessly integrate with platforms and tools is crucial to deliver business requirements. A good understanding of resiliency, scalability, and overall platform stability is important for this role considering the volume of Real Time transactions processing each business day.
Key Accountabilities:
- Hands-on experience in the integration of products to existing platforms and technology.
- Knowledge of Payments messaging formats.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Oracle/SQL, Unix/Python Scripting, Application Servers like Tomcat, CI/CD pipelines/Java, GIT Lab, Service first, JIRA, Confluence, Windows, TWS, MQ, and KAFKA.
- Participate in Performance Tuning and database modeling to handle large data sets effectively.
- Ability to work in a 100% Agile Software Development Life Cycle under sprint delivery timelines.
- Effectively coordinate with business during development as well as production releases.
- Undertake impact assessment of change requests against applications/products within the domain.
- Support cross-functional teams and coordinate work in various phases of deployments.

This role expects you to exhibit high-level interpersonal skills and showcase strong skills and expertise when communicating with stakeholders at all levels who are working towards common objectives but have different priorities and views. You are expected to deal with all conflicting views and pave a pathway to deliver the objectives clearly through strong decision-making and problem-solving.
Risk and Control Objective:
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework, and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.
Person Specification:
- Understanding of Payment Infrastructure Landscape.
- End-to-end software development lifecycle.
- Software development methodologies, e.g., waterfall, agile.
- Understanding of various payment messages (SWIFT, MX, ISO 20022, etc.).
- Understanding of messaging tools like MQ and Kafka.
- Work experience in any of the enterprise applications to detect sanctioned entities (AML, Screening).
