Job Description:

To define and own the content and direction of change projects in order to support the high performance continuous delivery of change projects.

Key Accountability

  • Taking accountability for the delivery and implementation of a project with a specific focus on the business activities required to realise the project and business outcomes.
  • Working with business-side clients to ensure there is a clear scope to deliver, value chain and a clear set of requirements which enable the business to realise their required benefits.
  • Creating and managing the project plan, ensuring appropriate business readiness activities are considered and planned and delivered; training, and communication activities.
  • Working closely with Technology project teams to realise the end-to-end delivery of technology changes that are required to realise the business goal.
  • Ensuring all governance, risk management, controls and compliance requirements are considered, planned for and adhered to safeguard the customer experience.
  • Driving the delivery of pragmatic business and operational design solutions which maximise benefits while achieving the desired business outcomes.
  • Ensuring delivery is completed to time, cost and quality.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Effectively provide change management and project management expertise to change projects to which the Project Manager is assigned.
  • Experience of Agile delivery methodologies and practical experience of managing sprint-based deliveries.
  • Possess expertise in change management methods and tools, in particular the Change Management change management method and toolkit.
  • Understand the roles, responsibilities and value-add of Change Management.
  • Influencing/networking – developing internal and external business relationships and using own knowledge, skills and experience to influence others' opinions and actions.
  • Analysis, creativity and innovation – able to apply practical solutions to business critical problems.
  • Understand at a high level the interface between complex business needs and the complex legal and regulatory environment in which the business operates.
  • Ability to juggle priorities, multi-task and flawlessly execute at speed.
  • Sound commercial judgment and overall understanding of the Financial Services Industry, particularly the business impact of the regulatory environment.
  • Understand and comply with the requirements of Strategic Change Execution Board Standard, Group Change Governance framework and Group-mandated Business Change methods, standards and tools.
