Location: Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - Full onsite.
You will be working on a client site, in collaboration with Client Project Managers, SMEs and Architects to deliver projects on time and above customer expectation. You will be working closely with support teams and other functions to ensure seamless integration of project work to the Run service.
Responsibilities include:
- Undertaking a range of equipment installations and configuration activities for complex or high business impact solutions.
- Performing infrastructure surveys, wired and wireless.
- Getting involved in office moves, adds, changes.
- Performing technical refresh of network hardware and cabling.
- Performing impact assessments on large or complex networks.
- Performing testing to pre-determined plans and analysing results.
Expected qualifications and experience:
- At least 5 years in other Network Engineering roles.
- Demonstrable experience of configuring Network systems, switching, routing, firewalling, load balancing and voice.
- Typically qualified to Cisco CCNA level or vendor equivalent accreditations.
- Knowledge of networks including network security, virtual private networking (VPN), converged networks and broadband technologies.
- Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN/Voice network infrastructures for enterprise organisations.
- Understanding of racking, cabling and containment systems and standards.
Required to work 5 days per week in Barrow-in-Furness site.
