Lead Quality Specialist (Quality Management)

We are seeking an experienced Lead Quality Specialist to join a leading engineering and energy-focused organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with strong project quality management experience within the oil & gas, energy, subsea, or heavy engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related quality matters.
  • Provide quality leadership across design, manufacturing, testing, and installation phases.
  • Develop, review, and implement Project Quality Plans (PQPs), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and associated quality documentation.
  • Support project delivery teams to ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and internal Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Lead quality reviews, risk assessments, non-conformance investigations, and root cause analysis activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, and site teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support supplier qualification activities, audits, and surveillance programs.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO and industry standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lessons-learned activities across projects.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Management, Project Quality, or Quality Assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Experience developing and implementing Project Quality Plans (PQPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Strong understanding of root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working within oil & gas, energy, manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments.
  • Hands-on experience supporting fabrication, assembly, and construction activities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience with subsea projects and deepwater applications.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, API, ASME, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Experience working with suppliers, audits, and quality surveillance activities.
  • Familiarity with offshore installation requirements and client specifications.
