Lead Quality Specialist (Quality Management)
We are seeking an experienced Lead Quality Specialist to join a leading engineering and energy-focused organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with strong project quality management experience within the oil & gas, energy, subsea, or heavy engineering sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related quality matters.
- Provide quality leadership across design, manufacturing, testing, and installation phases.
- Develop, review, and implement Project Quality Plans (PQPs), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and associated quality documentation.
- Support project delivery teams to ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and internal Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Lead quality reviews, risk assessments, non-conformance investigations, and root cause analysis activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, and site teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and report on quality metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support supplier qualification activities, audits, and surveillance programs.
- Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO and industry standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lessons-learned activities across projects.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Management, Project Quality, or Quality Assurance.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Experience developing and implementing Project Quality Plans (PQPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Strong understanding of root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience working within oil & gas, energy, manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments.
- Hands-on experience supporting fabrication, assembly, and construction activities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Highly Desirable
- Experience with subsea projects and deepwater applications.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, API, ASME, and other relevant industry standards.
- Experience working with suppliers, audits, and quality surveillance activities.
- Familiarity with offshore installation requirements and client specifications.
