Summary:
- Own the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) and processes including planning, scheduling and inventory management to support the equipment maintenance team.
- CMMS data entry, auditing and updates including: Assets, Inventory and Schedules.
- Create daily/weekly work schedules for the maintenance technicians.
- Using CMMS data to provide insight to the maintenance team to improve equipment mean time between failure and line reliability.
- Management of the maintenance spares.
- Raising purchase requests and following through internal sign off process to convert to Purchase Orders.
- Communicating with Contractors, to arrange site visits, request risk assessments and method statements, and post works service reports.
- Raising of Permits and Booking into the business V/M system.
Expected Role Challenges:
- Managing competing priorities between reactive breakdowns and planned maintenance schedules in a fast-paced environment.
- Ensuring CMMS data accuracy and team adoption to enable effective planning and reliability improvements.
- Balancing spare parts availability vs. cost control while avoiding production delays.
- Coordinating multiple stakeholders (technicians, production, contractors) with conflicting timelines and priorities.
- Driving plant reliability and continuous improvement while maintaining strict health, safety, and compliance standards.
Essential Requirements of the role (Experience / Skills / Competencies):
- Experience using Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook).
- Excellent telephone manner, motivated and hard working with a can-do attitude.
- Experience with works order planning and part procurement in an engineering environment.
- Process minded with database experience.
- Good verbal and written communicator.
- Drive and determination to succeed in any given task with a flexible approach.
