Role Description:
Key Responsibilities
Main Responsibility: To be available to oversee access of supplier teams into the control centre to do various manual pieces of work (e.g. like relaying cables or patching cables etc). Remote work is possible, but candidates must be ready to travel into client site when asked for (including after hours).
Role Description:
Access Coordination & Site Support:
– Oversee and manage physical access of supplier teams into control centres
– Ensure supplier activities (e.g. cable relaying, patching) are conducted according to site protocols
– Maintain accurate logs of access, work performed, and any incidents or deviations
– Act as liaison between client teams and suppliers to coordinate schedules and resolve access-related issues
– Respond to urgent access requests, including after-hours site visits when necessary
– Uphold safety, security, and compliance standards during all on-site activities
Infrastructure Support & Maintenance:
– Monitor and maintain physical and virtual infrastructure systems (servers, networks, storage)
– Perform routine checks, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on hardware and systems
– Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and service requests
– Support installation, configuration, and upgrades of hardware and software components
– Maintain documentation of infrastructure assets, configurations, and procedures
– Collaborate with IT teams to ensure system availability, performance, and scalability
– Assist in disaster recovery planning and execution
– Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and security protocols
– Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, and rollouts as needed
Required Skills
– Strong organizational and administrative skills
– Familiarity with physical infrastructure environments (e.g. cabling, patch panels, server rooms)
– Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
– Experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments
– Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V)
– Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS) is a plus
– Excellent communication and coordination abilities
– Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
– Willingness and flexibility to travel to client sites, including outside standard working hours
– Prior experience in infrastructure support, systems administration, or IT operations
Desirable Attributes
– Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar
– Experience working with third-party suppliers or contractors
– Commitment to safety, procedural compliance, and operational excellence
– Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
– Calm under pressure and responsive to urgent operational needs
– Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management tools.
