Role Description:
- Hands-on Power BI developer with significant production report-building experience.
- Strong Power Query and DAX, excellent data-visualisation/design sense (reports that look great and are easy to use), with a good understanding of Fabric and how Power BI works with its components.
- Writes clean, best-practice DAX, follows report-development best practice, and documents everything delivered.
- Supports and coaches analysts/developers on Power BI best practices.
Core Experience (Must-Have):
- End-to-end Power BI report development in production (from data prep to polished visuals).
- Power Query (M) for shaping/transforming data.
- DAX: clean, maintainable code that follows best practice.
- Visual design & UX: applies data-visualisation best practice; produces reports that are clear, consistent, and visually appealing.
- Fabric awareness: understands key Fabric components and how to use them with Power BI (as data sources and in models).
- Documentation: concise, usable documentation of datasets, measures, and reports.
- Coaching: supports and coaches and upskills analysts/developers on Power BI.
Nice to Have:
- Experience building custom visuals for specific design needs.
