Minimum Requirement: To provide ongoing electrical installation delivery across the Culham site. The job holder (JH) will lead on a wide range of electrical work in an industrial environment covering installation, commissioning, fault-finding, maintenance and repair in accordance with current legislation and codes of practice.
Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for installation phase of projects ensuring Safe Systems of Work are followed, working to a plan, being flexible and keeping to timescales, including leading installation teams.
- Install indoor and outdoor electrical distribution equipment in compliance with current regulations and local standards.
- Undertake the construction, wiring and commissioning of electrical control cubicles.
- Perform testing, commissioning and fault-finding tasks on various electrical control and distribution equipment.
- Setting work, supervising and providing guidance and supervision to less experienced electricians and electrical apprentices.
- Work on various projects with diverse teams across site with the ability to prioritise daily tasks and allocate work to team members according to the appropriate work plan for each project.
- Maintain high standards of safety at all times and comply with safety procedures.
Essential:
- Electrical craft apprenticeship.
- City and Guilds 2357 (AM2), or equivalent, updated to BS 7671: 18th edition.
- City and Guilds 2395 (inspection and testing) or equivalent.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work safely in accordance with a written safe system of work (WSSOW).
- Previous work experience in an industrial/commercial environment.
- Should ideally demonstrate knowledge of large distribution networks.
- Supervisory experience is desirable.
- Work and communicate as part of a team.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Ability to prioritise and balance the workload.
