High Level Business Objective For The Initiatives:
This project establishes the organizational, technical, and governance foundation required to run Observability as an EMEA wide capability. It sets up the Observability Center of Excellence (CoE), defines operating models, and introduces standardized practices for logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting. The project ensures the core observability toolset—Splunk, Dynatrace, and Moogsoft—is fully prepared, integrated, and governed as a unified enterprise platform.
By creating the “rails” for observability—standards, governance, tooling readiness, operational owners, and cross domain guidance—the organization gains a consistent and scalable model for monitoring critical applications. This foundation enables improved system reliability, faster incident detection, and the ability to measure operational health across the enterprise. It provides the centralized leadership and technical backbone necessary for a successful multi year observability rollout.
Benefit: Enhanced Resiliency & Productivity
Platform team creating rails, standards, consulting & supporting application teams - excludes application specific teams effort to build / implement.
This project provides the delivery resources required to implement observability practices across Domains and critical business applications (EMEA IBS). These resources work directly with domain teams to instrument services, deploy Dynatrace, integrate logs into Splunk, configure alerting in Moogsoft, and establish dashboards and health indicators aligned to enterprise standards.
The effort ensures each domain is enabled with hands on support, accelerating adoption of the observability platform and converting standards into real operational improvements. By onboarding applications, uplifting maturity, and embedding domain level champions, the project expands observability coverage, reduces MTTR, and improves visibility into system behavior. This domain focused implementation is essential for turning enterprise observability strategy into measurable outcomes at the application level.
Benefit: Enhanced Resiliency & Productivity
