ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our innovative Procurement Team as a Sourcing Specialist (Buyer). We're looking for passionate procurement professionals who excel at building relationships, managing multiple priorities, and driving commercial value. In this role, you'll manage the complete buying process for assigned goods and services, apply sourcing policies, and act as the interface between suppliers and our organization to ensure optimal contractual conditions and results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage RFQs and source competitive quotations from suppliers
  • Place, execute, and monitor Purchase Orders (POs) while maintaining strong supplier relationships
  • Ensure on-time delivery of goods and services; monitor and report status
  • Negotiate and manage contract renewals and supplier agreements
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships; assess risk and ensure KPI compliance
  • Analyze purchasing requirements and prepare comparison tables to identify best value
  • Monitor supplier performance and report non-conformities
  • Process supplier invoices and manage any required rectifications
  • Identify process improvements and suggest solutions
  • Coordinate with internal teams on data gathering and analysis
  • Manage scheduling changes and resolve procurement issues

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum 2 years of procurement/sourcing/buying experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, or Technology sectors (UK-based experience preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (technical background preferred)
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Proficiency with SAP or Oracle ERP systems (essential)
  • Experience or training with contracts and agreement templates
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Strong ability to work independently and self-drive responsibilities
