Contract Duration: 12 months

Work Location: Ideally located near Aberdeen or Houston (HSE hub), with the ability to work remotely. Core working hours are typically 08:30 to 17:30; however, there is flexibility in scheduling to accommodate occasional calls across different time zones. 8 hours per day/40 hours per week.

Requires 3–5 years of experience as an HSE advisor. Teams interview - 2 rounds - second with the risk leader. It may be required for the candidate to travel occasionally; however, this would typically be for short periods (e.g., up to one week) and not on a regular basis.

Responsibilities / Tasks of the Role:

  • Provide coordination support for HSE Governance activities, including coordination of HSE programs, preparation of performance reports, and maintenance of HSE required records.
  • Assist the HSE Governance & Process team and operations with data analysis and trend identification to support continuous improvement actions.
  • Producing trend reports from improvement sources (audit, significant risk areas, events, near misses and LFNW) and coordinating HSE communications & improvement projects.
  • Providing insight and improvement opportunities for improvement project tracking management and oversight.
  • Assist in the development, improvement and maintenance of HSE Risk Registers and associated performance data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and visibility.
  • Assist in improvement and maintenance of HSE risk assessments as required.
  • Support field verification of risk controls.
  • Track completion of risk assessment actions & support preparation for risk reviews and HSE assurance activities.
  • Manage site HSE SharePoint and document management systems, ensuring documents are current, controlled, and easily accessible.
  • Support document control processes, including version control, updates, and archiving of HSE procedures and records.
  • Assistance in progress of annual priorities and improvement targets through support to local HSE leaders within the business.
  • Any other duties as required for Governance Team.

Essential Requirements of the role (Experience / Skills / Competencies):

  • Degree or diploma in HSE or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience working in global or multinational environments.
  • Experience in high-risk, highly diverse operational settings.

  • Solid understanding of business priorities and the ability to align HSE topics with operational goals.

  • Good technical aptitude, including proficiency in MS Office and experience with SharePoint creation and management.
  • Familiarity with or openness to using AI tools to support HSE processes and improvements.

Required Accreditations / Qualifications / Certification / Licenses including Drivers License:

  • NEBOSH certificate or equivalent.
  • ISO45001 auditor certified preferred.
