Location: Manchester/Barrow - Hybrid 80% office 20% home
Duration: 3-month contract
Pay rate: £492 per day all inc. (PAYE through Umbrella)
Role Summary: DBA required to support Oracle and SQL Server databases within the Dragonfly secure environment, ensuring performance, availability, and stability of BAU services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain, and tune Oracle SQL Server databases
- Manage incidents, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Perform backups, restores, patching, and upgrades
- Support HA/DR (eg AlwaysOn, Data Guard/RAC)
- Ensure security and compliance in a secure environment
Key Skills:
- Strong Oracle and/or SQL Server DBA experience
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting expertise
- Backup/restore and HA/DR knowledge
- ITIL/managed service experience preferred
